Living in Lyngdal
There's something happening in Lyngdal all year round! We love to bring people together for pleasant experiences.
Events and activities
There is a town festival with a southern atmosphere for several days in the summer, the Audna Festival in the northern part of the municipality and several cosy events in idyllic Korshamn. In August, thousands of people gather for the Lyngdalscup. We organise Christmas Town, Easter Town, motor shows, Amcar rallies, midsummer celebrations in the town centre, Children's Day and market days. Large concerts are regularly organised. The cultural centre and the library are good at organising events, as are teams and associations. And that's not to mention all our tourism businesses, which always have great things going on. There's always something going on in Lyngdal. See the full calendar of events at Visit Sørlandet.
BUA Lyngdal and BUA Audnedal
At BUA you can borrow sports and outdoor equipment for free! Try something new - skis, tents, skateboards, fishing equipment and much more are ready to borrow. A great offer for young and old who want to be active. At Konsmo you'll find BUA Audnedal - self-service every day, and serviced on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Sports and leisure
Lyngdal has a broad and inclusive leisure offering - from Sørlandsbadet, sports clubs and modern halls to a karate club, Just Padel, bowling centre, fitness centres and climbing wall. Frisbee golf is particularly popular in the municipality and is played by children, young people and adults alike. Lyngdal has several great courses, including Åmlandsdalen Frisbeegolf and Konsmoparken Frisbeegolf course, both of which are very popular.
In Korshamn you can play sea golf. Swimming is an important activity in Lyngdal, both indoors and outdoors. In this town you can swim all year round! We have countless beautiful beaches, outdoor areas and hiking trails. These offer countless activities. It's also good exercise to walk the Sherpa trail up to the day trip cabin. At the top you can enjoy a marvellous view. And if you like fun challenges, it's fantastic to take the via ferrata up Vågefjell.
There's room for everyone - all year round!

Teams and organisations
Participating in teams and associations when you move to Lyngdal can make it easier to find your place. You get to meet new people, experience community and take part in something meaningful - whether you like sports, choir, hiking, knitting, hunting, music or voluntary work. There's something for everyone in Lyngdal.
Especially for families with children and young people, there are many good low-threshold programmes. There is also a great deal of voluntary involvement in the local community - through both Christian and faith-based organisations, cultural and leisure activities, sports clubs and interest groups.
You can find an overview of all registered clubs and associations on the municipality's website and in the association portal.
