About Region Lister

Six municipalities,
one community

Bound together by cooperation, initiative and the will to pull together.

In Lister, people, opportunities and diversity meet. Here you find towns and villages, mountains and fjords, sea and sky – and a region with room for both calm and drive. Lister is the place for you if you want to live close to nature, close to people and in the middle of the future.

We are six municipalities, but one community – bound together by cooperation, initiative and the will to pull together. The road from idea to action is short, and there is room both to shape the society around you and to find space for what matters to you.

In Lister, industry, technology and energy go hand in hand with culture, care and craft. You will find growth companies, local food producers, international communities and committed founders – all with solid roots and their eyes on what comes next.

Cultural life thrives with festivals, volunteering, music and art. The trails wind through forest and moorland, the coastline tempts with smooth rock and beaches, and everyday life has room for both pulse and pause. Here you can find freedom – and belonging.

The project

About the Region Lister project

Region Lister is a project to strengthen the Lister region as a place to live and work. The aim is to show what is unique about living, working and settling here – and to help more people choose to make their home in our six municipalities: Farsund, Flekkefjord, Hægebostad, Kvinesdal, Lyngdal and Sirdal.

The project builds on the regional attractiveness strategy and works along three tracks: living, life and work in Lister. By gathering good stories, making opportunities visible and making the region easier to navigate, we aim to strengthen relocation and regional pride.

The project was initiated by the Lister Council in response to clear needs from the business community. Lister Nyskaping is the regional project manager. The project is funded by the regional development fund, local savings banks, the county council and the municipalities. The goal is a sustainable model that can live on after the project period.
