There are two of us who need jobs. Do we both get help?
Yes. You can add a partner profile with its own occupations, so you each get your own job matches. The guide gives tips to both of you, but each of you applies yourself.
How do I get alerts about new positions?
Choose your occupations in your profile and save the places to live you are interested in. You then get an email when a new matching position turns up there. You can switch alerts on and off under Settings.
What do I need to fill in?
A few basic details are required: name, year of birth, nationality, work situation, languages and whether you are moving with a partner or children. Occupations, CV and wishes for a place to live can be added later, but the more you fill in, the better the matches.
Who can see my profile?
The municipalities and employers in Lister, once you have completed registration. They can then get in touch if something fits.
I do not know which municipality I want to live in.
You do not need to know that to start. Send a general enquiry to Lister. The guides work together, so your question reaches someone who can answer it.
Can I use the portal in English?
Yes. The portal is available in Norwegian and English, and you can switch language in your profile.
I have lived here before. Does this apply to me too?
Yes. The portal and the guides are for everyone considering a move here, including you if you want to come home again.
Can the guide help with kindergarten and school?
The guide can explain how it works in the municipality and who you should contact. You send the application to the municipality yourself.
