From idea to business

There is help at every step. You don’t need to know everything in advance – start with the guidance, and you will be helped along from there. Most of the services are in Norwegian.

  1. Idea and guidance

Free guidance on your idea, business plan and financing. Lister Nyskaping is the region’s business incubator; in some municipalities the advice is booked through DRIV Agder.

  2. Financing

Municipal business funds, the Lister Fund and Innovation Norway. The business adviser in your municipality knows the schemes and can point you in the right direction.

  3. Formalities

Choosing a company type, registration, tax and VAT are explained in one place on Altinn and by the Brønnøysund Register Centre.

  4. Community and network

Shared offices in several of the municipalities, and the Lister Business Association – with U45 if you are under 45.

The help varies a little between municipalities

Each municipality has its own schemes and a business adviser with an overview of support, premises and who you should talk to first. Choose the municipality you are thinking of living in.
