From Strandgaten in Flekkefjord to Lyngdal and Egersund: egðastrek is the architecture firm that designs tomorrow's buildings and landscapes with roots in the past as its starting point. In 2023, the 45-year-old company got a new name and a new identity, while keeping the same local knowledge and professional expertise.

Who are we?

We are a Norwegian architecture firm that designs with a foundation in deep cultural and historical roots, to create tomorrow's solutions. Architecture, landscape and land-use plans emerge from a thoughtful meeting between idea, place and expertise. Through sustainability, craftsmanship, quality materials and good solutions, we draw a line from the past to the future.
After more than 40 years under the name Kristiansen & Selmer-Olsen, in 2023 we drew an egðastrek line under the old brand and gave ourselves a new identity. Our headquarters is on Strandgaten in Flekkefjord, with branch offices in Lyngdal and Egersund.
We are a well-known firm in the Lister region at the southern tip of Norway, with high levels of expertise, cross-disciplinary skills and excellent local knowledge. We hold architectural expertise at the highest classification level for design and responsible application management, and have delivered strong results since the company was founded in 1978.

Quality, expertise and local knowledge
We are a local firm with high levels of expertise and cross-disciplinary skills, and a well-known name in the Lister region at the southern tip of Norway. This gives us excellent knowledge of the area we design for. One of the things that sets us apart from many competitors is our architectural expertise at the highest classification level for design and responsible application management. We are also a leader in using BIM design across both architecture and planning, and we deliver high-quality architecture, design and illustrations.
We strive to deliver projects of the highest possible quality, focused on meeting the needs and expectations of our clients, contractors and our own team members. This requires a strong work ethic — and everyone contributing their expertise and experience within their field. This is how we have achieved great results since the company was founded in 1978.
