Who are we?
S32 is a commercial building right in the centre of Flekkefjord, and an office community for around 15 companies.
Here, consultants, engineers and other professional communities share the same house, with shared meeting rooms, a lunch room and common areas facing the fjord.
The house is run as a private venture, without public funding, and several of the owners have offices in the building themselves.
In short
- An office community in central Flekkefjord with 15–16 companies
- About 800 square metres with room for 40–45 workstations
- Three meeting rooms, a conference room and a shared lunch room with a view of the fjord
- Shared lunch every day, and social activities throughout the year
- A private venture, run without public funding
A house built for meeting people
The premises have been renovated for around four million kroner.
The floors have been opened up to one another, and more glass has been added, so that the house feels connected rather than divided into separate offices.
The renovation emphasised energy-saving measures and reuse – among other things, the existing floors were sanded down rather than replaced.
Today the house holds three meeting rooms, a conference room, a shared lunch room and seating areas with a view of the fjord.

Light and glass throughout the house
The glass roof above the staircase lets daylight reach all the way down through the floors, and the large window at the end opens the house toward the fjord.

The community
Every day around half past eleven, the house gathers for a shared lunch, with groceries bought together.
Throughout the year, there's padel and squash, pizza nights, a trip to Hidra and a shared Christmas party.
For a small business, this means a bigger working environment than its number of employees would suggest, and for new hires it means getting to know people outside their own company from the very first week.
The owners want to expand this to the businesses in the neighbouring buildings along the waterfront.
